The tour of Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii Ruins is made to discover the beauty and Roman history of this area. You can see beautiful coastline, have good shopping in Sorrento, taste a lunch in Positano and have a walk among what is left of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. that destroyed and buried the most famous roman archeologic site. (Recommended tour for cruise passengers)
This itinerary is from the agreed point (port/hotel/train station). The drive from the port to Positano will take about an hour and a half. You will have free time to explore the beautiful atmospehere of this ancient colorful village, appreciate the famous exclusive ceramics of the local artisan, enjoy a glass of wine on the beach looking the see. Get lost into the tiny streets and stairways of the this cliff village with flowers everywhere.
You will have free time to explore this historical center. “The Town of Lemons”, Sorrento is famous for its fantastic good perfumed lemons which they make the worldwide famous “Limoncello Liquor” and so many sweetness and stuff. Have good shopping thanks to its good price commerce where you can find good Italian style leather clothes, vintage “inlaid woodworks”, lemon stuff and extra-virgin olive oil. (we suggest to visit olive oil factory, limoncello liquor factory and inlaid wood work factory)
You will have 2 hours to explore this worldwide famous ancient ruin. “The Survived Town”, here you will feel the ancient drama of the historical eruption of the Volcano Vesuvius of 79 a.D. that destroyed and killed the town with its inhabitants. See the rest and casts of a 2000 years old roman town. Once done, we head back to the pick up location. (We highly recommend to hire an expert archeologic guide inside the ruins to have a better experience, if you need it ask in the note)
